YOUR INFORMATION

Privacy policy.

Last updated: October 25, 2026. This page describes the current Storietime website and what may change if advertising is introduced.

Information stored in your browser

Storietime does not require an account. The site stores two preferences in your browser’s local storage: your 18+ age affirmation and the IDs of articles you save as favourites. These values stay in that browser unless you clear the site’s stored data. The age affirmation is not identity or legal-age verification.

Hosting and analytics

On the current Manus-hosted version, the project’s analytics setting is enabled. The hosting platform may add Umami and Plausible analytics scripts to measure site visits, and the platform badge may also load platform scripts. These services and the host may process technical or usage information to provide analytics, delivery and security. See Umami’s privacy information and Plausible’s data policy. A self-hosted copy of the static files does not include Manus platform scripts unless the owner separately adds them; the hosting provider and any added services have their own practices.

The site’s stylesheets request font files from Google Fonts. When your browser loads those fonts, it connects to Google to retrieve them and Google may receive technical request information. See Google’s Privacy Policy.

Hosting, delivery or security providers may process technical information needed to serve the site and protect it from misuse. Depending on the service, this may include an IP address, browser or device details, requested URL and request time.

Advertising and cookies

At the time this policy was written, Storietime does not display Google AdSense advertisements and has not added AdSense code to the site. If the site owner later enables Google ads, Google and other third-party vendors may use cookies or similar technologies to serve advertisements based on a user’s prior visits to this site or other websites. Google’s advertising cookies may allow Google and its partners to serve ads based on those visits.

Google’s publisher policies also limit the use of personalized advertising based on a user’s activity on adult sites or apps and other sensitive information. The site owner must check the rules that apply to the actual content and ad settings; a consent banner alone does not make restricted targeting permissible. See Google’s publisher policies.

If Google advertising is enabled, users can manage Google’s personalized advertising settings at Google Ads Settings. Information about opting out of some third-party interest-based advertising is available at aboutads.info. Other vendors or ad networks serving ads would be identified here with links to their privacy and opt-out information.

Where required for personalized advertising, the site owner must configure an appropriate consent-management solution. Google states that a Google-certified CMP integrated with the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework is required for personalized ads served to users in the EEA, UK and Switzerland. See Google’s CMP requirements.

Storietime links to third-party websites, including Pexels photo-source pages and Google help pages. When you follow an external link, that service’s own privacy policy and practices apply.

Privacy requests

For privacy questions or requests, use the public contact details on our Contact page. The site owner must add and monitor a valid contact email address before accepting privacy requests.
